You’re running a blog or business, you’ve spent time ensuring that your website design is stunning, you create wonderfully useful content, but how do you get your readers or clients to notice. Even if you won’t be using twitter for your business, go ahead and snatch up the handle for your business just in case you decide to use it later.

Set a timer

Set your timer and head onto your social media site of choice, stick to your schedule. Once you have an idea of how much time you’re going to spend responding to comments, sharing, and interacting with your followers, you’re less likely to waste time on there.

Schedule ahead

You don’t have to be tied to your computer all day to ensure that you are sharing consistently awesome content. Use a social media scheduler tool to make this easy for you and to ensure that you are active on that channel. There are options like Hootesuite, Buffer, Board Booster or Tailwind and so on depending on which site you need help with.

Be purposeful

You really need to have a to do list of items or checklist in your head before you even log in to your social media accounts. Be purposeful, if you tell yourself you have 30 minutes but you don’t have a plan, you’re going to end up watching cute cat videos.

Create interest lists that you can check in on instead of randoming scrolling through the feeds. Follow big influencers in your niche to share their content and examine what they are doing right. Make sure you answer and interact with your followers.

Social media can be a great tool to grow your blog but you have to be purposeful and use it wisely.
